The Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport is 25 km from the city and connects Guwahati with other parts of the country. Regular flights are operated by Indian Airlines, Alliance Air, Jet Airways, Kingfisher, Indigo, and Spice Jet etc.

There are also Helicopter Services operating from Guwahati. Tourists can avail the same to go to Shillong, Tura, and Naharlagun etc.

Rail»
The railhead at Guwahati is under North-East Frontier Railway which links the city with other parts of the country through several express trains.

Road»
The government run Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) with its headquarters at Paltanbazar plies buses to state towns and also nearby states. These buses ply on National Highways 31, 37, 40 and 52.
